About Tida

How Does Tida Work?

A plain-English walkthrough of what happens from the moment you start a form to the day your chosen lender funds your loan.

Tida is a free service that helps U.S. borrowers compare personal loan options from trusted, licensed lenders in one place. We're not a direct lender ourselves — we're the matchmaker that connects you with lenders who may be able to help, so you can compare and choose with less legwork. Here's exactly how the process works, step by step.

What Tida is (and isn't)

Tida Financial Services is a loan-matching service, sometimes called a referral service or loan marketplace. We do not fund loans, set rates, or approve applications. Instead, we connect you with lenders from our network of 50+ trusted, licensed U.S. lending partners. Every rate, term, and approval decision comes from the lender you ultimately choose, not from Tida. Using our service is free — we don't charge you to compare offers.

The process in four steps

  1. Tell us what you need. Start our short, free online form with a few basics — the amount you're looking for, its purpose, and some details about your income and situation.
  2. We match you with lenders. Based on what you share, we identify partners in our network whose products may fit your profile.
  3. You compare real options. You can review estimated rates, terms, and monthly payments side by side, without submitting a dozen separate applications.
  4. You choose and finish with the lender. If you find an offer you like, you continue with that lender directly. They handle the formal application, verification, funding, and repayment.

Checking your options with Tida uses a soft credit check, which does not affect your credit score. You can look, compare, and walk away with no impact. A hard inquiry — the kind that can cause a small, temporary dip — only happens later, if you decide to formally apply with a specific lender.

What you'll typically need to get started

  • Basic identity details (name, date of birth, contact info)
  • Your address and housing situation
  • Income and employment information
  • The loan amount and purpose you have in mind

You don't need to upload documents just to see options. If you move forward with a lender, that lender may ask for verification such as pay stubs or bank details — our overview of the documents you need for a personal loan covers what to expect.

What you might be matched with

Loans in our partner network typically range from $1,000 to $100,000, with APRs commonly between about 6% and 36% and terms from roughly 12 to 84 months. The specific amount, rate, and term you're offered depend on the lender and your financial profile — including your credit, income, and existing debt. We never guarantee approval or a particular rate, because only a lender can make that decision. You can estimate a payment ahead of time with our loan calculator.

Why use Tida instead of applying to one lender?

You can always go straight to a single lender. The trade-off is that you only see one company's answer. With Tida, one short form can surface several options at once. The main benefits:

  • Compare multiple offers without filling out multiple full applications
  • Protect your credit while you shop, thanks to the soft-pull prequalification step
  • Save time by not re-entering the same information repeatedly
  • Stay in control — you decide which offer, if any, to accept

If you'd like to understand the model more deeply, see is Tida a lender? or read about how Tida protects your information. Our U.S.-based support team is available Monday through Friday, 9am–6pm EST at support@us-tida.com if you have questions along the way.

What happens after you choose a lender

Once you pick an offer, the process moves from Tida to your chosen lender. Here's what to expect:

  • You complete the lender's application. This is where a hard inquiry may occur, and where the lender verifies details like income and identity.
  • You review the final agreement. The lender discloses your exact APR, fees, term, and payment before you sign — read it carefully.
  • You accept and get funded. After approval and signing, funds are typically deposited to your bank account, often within a few business days.
  • You repay the lender directly. Your monthly payments go to the lender, not to Tida.

Because Tida isn't the lender, we don't collect payments or manage your loan after you connect — the lender is your point of contact for anything related to the loan itself.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tida free to use?

Yes. It's free to compare options through Tida. Any interest and fees are charged by the lender you choose and are disclosed before you agree to anything.

Does using Tida affect my credit score?

No. Prequalifying uses a soft credit check with no score impact. A hard inquiry only occurs if you choose to formally apply with a lender.

How long does it take?

The form takes about two minutes, and you can see options shortly after. Funding timelines are set by the lender you choose and often land within a few business days.
